BCI is an international development consultancy that works to expand opportunities for citizens to participate in governance and public decision-making. We do this by supporting collaborative research and knowledge sharing, alongside sustainable social and economic empowerment.
Founded on 2 November 2022, BCI supports global poverty reduction, strengthens citizens’ participation in governance, and advocates for justice and equality.

Research
BCI conducts applied, policy-relevant research that is grounded in local realities and designed to inform practical action. We combine rigorous methods with participatory approaches so that evidence is credible, useful, and accessible to the people who need it.
Project Implementation
We implement projects in close partnership with communities, local organisations, and public institutions. We focus on practical delivery, strong governance, and learning-led adaptation so that activities remain relevant, inclusive, and effective.
Programme Design
We take an evidence-led approach to programme design that is locally grounded, and feasible to deliver. We work with partners to translate priorities into a clear theory of change, practical activities, and a monitoring framework that supports learning and accountability.
